Heartland Food Corp. Selects Radiant Systems For More Than 200 Burger King Restaurants
Third-largest Burger King franchise to deploy Aloha QuickService POS and MenuLink Back Office.
ATLANTA (May 5, 2008) - Radiant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: RADS) announces today that Heartland Food Corp., the third-largest Burger King franchise in the nation with 216 restaurants, has selected the company to implement Aloha QuickService point of sale and MenuLink back office software in all its locations.
“After an extensive review of restaurant technology providers, we selected Radiant because of their integration capabilities and ability to manage all aspects of our business from the front of house to back of house to corporate headquarters,” said Steve Wiborg, president and CEO at Heartland Food Corp. “We know that consumers today have a choice in the quick service restaurant market, and we chose the Radiant solution to ensure we stay ahead of the competition with fast, efficient service.”
Heartland begins their rollout with the deployment of the MenuLink back office to all locations across four states by the end of this year. The MenuLink solution will enable Heartland to manage all aspects of inventory levels and labor. The software’s ability to accurately assess inventory is especially important in today’s restaurant environment, given the rising costs of basic food ingredients. Implementation of the complete solution, including Aloha QuickService point of sale software, the P1220 hardware, and Aloha eManager centralized data management system, begins later this year.
“This partnership with Heartland underscores Radiant’s commitment to the BURGER KING® restaurant community and continues a long-standing tradition of Radiant partnership with BURGER KING® franchisees,” said Paul Langenbahn, hospitality division president at Radiant Systems. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Heartland to provide Radiant’s fully integrated solution.”
