Radiant Systems Delivers Flexible Technology Package to Leading Australian Franchise

Quest Point-of-Sale solution to enhance functionality, speed and confidence for franchisees in more than 260 retail stores

ATLANTA – (May 18, 2009) Radiant Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: RADS) announced today a contract with one of Australia’s leading ice cream and treat retailers, Wendy’s Supa Sundaes, who will deploy the Quest Enterprise Manager software solution along with V-Touch point-of-sale hardware in more than 260 stores.

“We were drawn to the Quest system because of the flexibility it offered us,” said Toby Lawrance, chief operations officer at Wendy’s Supa Sundaes. “The Internet-based technology gives our franchisees greatly improved functionality via increased speed of service at the terminal, individual staff logon, enhanced inventory control, stock handling, purchasing and a greater reporting range.”

Wendy’s Supa Sundaes, with stores stretching across Australia, sought a company that could provide reliable products to its 350,000 weekly customers. The ice cream and treats retailer wanted proven technology to strengthen the ability for all franchisees to maximize their sales potential, further improving on the $115 million earnings Wendy’s reported last year.

“It’s exciting to see Quest Enterprise Manager making such an impact in Australia,” said Tim Stollznow, vice president, Asia Pacific region at Radiant Systems. “The reliability of our ROM-based point-of-sale terminals and the flexible Internet-based technology allow stores to stay completely in synch with the head office, regardless of distance, time zones or power outages.”

Quest Enterprise Manager integrates all point-of-sale operations within one central database with easy-to-use functionality. Venues can access this central database from any computer via a web browser, creating a simple and unified reporting process. Coupled with the V-Touch hardware, Wendy’s Supa Sundaes now has a reliable technology infrastructure that allows for easy system upgrades and maintenance for its growing chain.
